I called Adobe and they opened a case and they acquired access to my PC via their remote access tool and they saw the problem but they had no clue. I have triple-checked the properties of my company’s pdfs in Acrobat X Pro and the embedded fonts are 100% OK there. I’ve also seen the same problem in pdfs displayed from third party websites. I have purchased Acrobat DC Pro last week but am scared to install it now because of the Reader DC problems. The problem started immediately after I upgraded from Reader 11 to Reader DC.
